Opening and Open House of Maritime Knowledge Centre

Seafoundation will open its Maritime Knowledge Centre for sub-sea and sub-ocean studies Seabase in Kamperland (The Netherlands). Seabase is independent and is founded after the Annual Programme of National Park Oosterschelde appeared to ignore water-aspects of nature monitoring. Activities of the organisation are sea survey (with own vessels and laboratory), education and the management of the reception hall. Sea Knowledge combines hydrography, maritime biology, oceanography, construction and aquatic ecotechnology. The opening of the centre is accompanied by a survey with the vessel Sezanne on the Grevelingen. On 6th January 2007 from 13.00, during an open house of the institute, the programme for 2007 will be presented.
