Order for Three RiverRay ADCP Systems
Aqua Vision, the Netherlands, will supply the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment of the Netherlands with three RiverRay ADCP systems. The order includes support and maintenance by Aqua Vision BV for a period of five years. The Ministry will deploy RiverRay ADCPs for current direction, velocity and discharge measurements in rivers.
The RiverRay system will be delivered with Aqua Vision’s ViSea Data Acquisition Software. ViSea DAS allows users to acquire data from multiple sensors and apply post-acquisition corrections to ADCP data.
RiverRay ADCPs, manufactured by Teledyne RD Instruments, are characterised by their versatility and ease of use. Using adaptive sampling, the RiverRay ADCP automatically adopts the optimum measurements settings going from bank to bank. The trimaran float, designed and built by OceanScience, is lightweight and stable, even with high velocity currents and waves.
