OSIL Designs Innovative Sediment Transport Solution

BMM Meetdienst in Belgium has chosen OSIL to provide a high-tech sediment transport measurement solution. The system will be used to measure sediment direction and currents off the coast of Belgium in the North Sea.
OSIL designed an integrated system that includes a SonTek ADCP for current measurement, a SonTek ADV for water velocity, a Seabird MicroCat for conductivity and temperature, and an optical backscatter device from D&A Instruments to measure sediment concentration. OSIL has harnessed these instruments to provide a synchronised system which interprets the data to provide highly accurate information on sediment movement and also currents.
