OSIL Supplies Oceanor Monitoring System to Environment Agency

OSIL has become the UK distributor for Norwegian based Oceanor - manufacturers of environmental monitoring systems for oceans, rivers, lakes, groundwater and soil. Since signing the agreement, OSIL has already received an order from the Environment Agency (EA) for an Oceanor LakeWatch Buoy system and Trace Metal Monitor.
The LakeWatch Buoy system is designed for real-time water quality and algae monitoring in lakes and rivers - ideal for many of the EA’s monitoring programmes. It benefits from full onboard processing of all measured data and can be deployed for long periods of time. Its rugged compact design also means it is easy to handle and can be deployed by a small boat.
The Trace Metal Monitor will be used separately to analyse the presence of metals in freshwater. It can quantify many different metals including Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni, Co, Tl and Cu. The monitor is extremely accurate and provides results after only a few minutes. It will be used by the EA in water monitoring activities and can be applied to both field and laboratory work.
