Phoenix Augments ROV Fleet

Phoenix International, Inc. has acquired two powerful, heavy-duty work Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to augment its expanding ROV fleet: a 200 hp Perry Slingsby Triton 210 and a Soil Machine Dynamics 400 hp NEREUS II ROV.
Both systems can operate in a free-flying or tracked mode and are capable of performing intervention, sampling and submarine cable/pipeline related tasks. The systems include hydraulic manifolds capable of supporting a diversity of underwater tools and tooling systems, dual 7-function Schilling manipulators, TSS 340/350 cable/pipeline tracking systems, cable gripping and cutting WebTools and water jetting systems for cable/pipeline burial and excavation projects. The vehicles also contain a comprehensive suite of onboard cameras and sensors.
System services now include lightweight, battery-powered, expendable inspection systems, extremely manoeuvrable, small footprint, deep ocean work vehicles and these high-power, versatile, heavy-work ROVs. Phoenix ROV services extend from pier-side to water depths of 7,000 msw.
