Positive Change at RS Aqua in 2012

A year of extensive, positive change is how UK-based ocean equipment distributor RS Aqua Ltd describes 2012. Managing director, Roger Scrivens, explains he has welcomed new personnel, signed to new product lines, expanded the premises and extended service support facilities during the last 12 months. The company will be present during Ocean Business, from 9 to 11 April 2013, in Southampton, UK.

The arrival of Martin Stemp as technical sales manager and Terry Edwards as technical support manager in the summer was rapidly followed by the acquisition of several new product lines. These include Liquid Robotics Inc (Wave Glider), Vemco (fish tracking systems), Hawboldt Industries (deck equipment), SubCtech ("ferry box" systems, inc pCO2), Precision Measuring Engineering (water monitoring systems and instruments for oceanographic and limnologic use) and JouBeh Technologies (Iridium service and hardware). These appointments come hard on the heels of an agreement with California-based ADCP & DVL manufacturer, Rowe Technologies Inc.

Whilst the addition of the globally successful Wave Glider has probably been the most high profile of the appointments, Roger feels that all the RS Aqua companies, both new and previously established, offer complementary products and services that result in an impressive portfolio. One way or another (on the RS Aqua booth or via their own booths) all products in the RS Aqua armoury will be on display at Ocean Business.

Several RS Aqua associate companies will be hosting classroom training sessions and details can be found at www.rsaqua.co.uk which also includes a full report on “What’s on view at Ocean Business”.
