Preparing HYDRO 2010

The International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) has entrusted the German Hydrographic Society (DHyG) with organising HYDRO 2010. The three-day conference and exhibition will take place in Rostock - Warnemünde (Germany) from 2-5 November 2010.

With its prime location, directly on the beach of the Baltic Sea, the conference hotel "Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne" provides an ideal setting for hosting HYDRO 2010. In addition to the customary technical sessions, the geographical location of the venue will be a central theme of the conference, with a focus on two main points. On the one hand, HYDRO 2010 wants to provide a platform for hydrography in the states bordering the Baltic Sea. On the other hand, Germany, as an important hub of the European waterway network, is especially suited for putting the spotlight on the specific questions of inland waterways.

After Kiel in 2002, the German Hydrographic Society (DHyG) is once again looking forward to welcoming international hydrographic experts to Germany.  The Organisation Committee called upon by the Management of the German Hydrographic Society (DHyG) has taken on the assignment and started planning for this renowned event.
