QINSy and QLOUD Training
Safa Geoscience Malaysia, the authorized reseller of QINSy, once again has successfully conducted a QINSy and QLOUD training in Jakarta, Indonesia. And this time Safaruddin himself conducted the training at PT Mahakarya Geo Survey (MGS), a hydrographic survey company established in the heart of Jakarta metropolitan. MGS provides navigation, positioning, geohydrographic survey and soil investigation services.
The training was conducted from 7th August until 10th August, 2007. It was attended by keen and excited young surveyors, survey engineers, data processors and geophysicists. They were about thirteen of them sharing the limited space and knowledge.
The training was not only focused on multibeam survey using QINSy (their next survey contract with Total Indonesie in Balikpapan, Kalimantan), but also basic multi-beam processing using QLOUD. It is an approximately 70km of pipeline route survey, from an offshore newly developed field until a landfall at a shore processing plant. A team of surveyors has been immediately mobilized to Balikpapan as soon as this training completed.
The other reason why they decided to own QINSy and QLOUD, other than its total hydrographic solution factor, is due to the availability of the regional technical and training support from Safa Geoscience Malaysia.
