Quester Tangent Software Sales

Quester Tangent Corporation has delivered multiple QTC MULTIVIEW seabed classification software licenses and a QTC VIEW to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Four licenses for the former software have been supplied to Kansas City and St Louis in Missouri, to Buffalo, New York and to Portland, Oregon, who additionally took delivery of a turnkey QTC VIEW Series 5 system. The software provides automated bottom classification of backscatter data acquired by a multi-beam sonar system, while the QTC VIEW system acquires and processes single-beam data for bottom classification. The systems supplied to the Portland division will be applied within fluvial environments for both sediment-transport modelling and for quantification and mapping of biological diversity within these environments. The other licenses will be used to classify data acquired by a number of Reson multi-beam sonar, for a range of applications including mapping of the Mississippi River.
