ROV Simulator Workshop During OI
The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA, UK) is to hold a half-day workshop with the theme ‘The Diverse Role of the ROV Simulator' during Oceanology International on Wednesday 14th March 2012 at the ExCeL Conference & Exhibition Centre, London. The modern, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) simulator is a very sophisticated piece of equipment, extensively used for training personnel both offshore and onshore. Simulators are being used increasingly for other applications including project modelling, tooling interfacing and accident investigation.
IMCA's Chief Executive, Hugh Williams explains that the workshop's aim is to present and discuss current and future ROV simulation technology. Five presentations will be followed by a workshop session and a drinks reception where the exchange of views is to continue. The workshop is open, free of charge, to members and non-members alike. As past experience indicates that there is likely to be much interest, those eager to attend are urged to contact [email protected] to register as a delegate.
Admission to Oceanology International (13-15 March) is also free of charge. IMCA will be present on Stand K720.
