RYA Chart Plotter relaunched as EasyCharts

Meridian Chartware are pleased to announce that they will shortly be relaunching the UKHO chart plotter as a Meridian product called ‘EasyCharts’. The UKHO/RYA electronic chart plotter which was developed by Meridian Chartware was first released in 2003. The relaunch follows after the recent decision by the UKHO to restructure its Admiralty Leisure product range and consequently withdraw the chart plotter. The new EasyCharts will have the same look and feel to it as the UKHO Chart Plotter. To bring it up to date for existing and new customers' future requirements, it not only includes the same facilities as the UKHO plotter but many other features are available as well.
The available features are (among others):
1.Tidal diamonds in route planning
2.AIS Capability
3.Program protection by registration system instead of having to keep a disk in the drive
4.One chart program containing over 800 charts around UK waters instead of being broken up into several areas
5.Possibility to include wrecks data from all around the UK

The software has been developed for all sailors who prefer the look of the UKHO charts. Meridian is well placed to produce this software having developed the UKHO's chart plotter many years ago and therefore has the experience to know what the customer is looking to achieve when purchasing a reliable entry level chart plotter.
