SeaZone to Support Renewable Energy

SeaZonen is to present their latest developments for the renewable energy sector at RenewableUK 2010 in Glasgow on 2nd to 4th November 2010. SeaZone will be sharing Stand 325 with HR Wallingford. Both companies have longstanding involvement with offshore renewable energy sector organisations and together offer a wide range of expertise, products and services.

SeaZone supports many organisations involved in the renewable energy sector through supply of its SeaZone data products such as HydroSpatial and Digital Survey Bathymetry and are used by Moray Offshore Renewables, Forewind, Mainstream Renewable Power, Scottish Power Renewables, E.ON Climate and Renewables and RWE npower renewable, all working on Round 3 offshore wind farm developments in the UK.

Easy and efficient access, understanding, use, re-use, dissemination and management of appropriate data and information are critical to organisations involved in wave and tidal projects. These brings new challenges including overcoming existing work practices and culture, dealing with the increasing complexity and specialist nature of marine data, understanding and adopting new standards and processes, providing appropriate expertise and resources.

SeaZone is ideally placed to assist with its unique blend of expertise and proven experience in marine science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database technology and data management. SeaZone DataCentre offers a ‘one stop' solution, tailored to meet individual organisation's business objectives and deliver an effective and efficient bespoke data management system. DataCentre allows engagement in a logical process, providing phased and scalable options to meet the organisation's existing and future needs, resources and budgets.
