Sense Intellifield Becomes Kongsberg Intellifield

Sense Intellifield, acquired by Kongsberg Maritime in January 2007, became Kongsberg Intellifield AS, as of 30th April 2007. The company will play an important part in Kongsberg Maritime's commitment to developing new technology solutions for Integrated Operations in the oil & gas industry.

Kongsberg Intellifield has delivered more than 150 oilfield decision rooms globally, with over 1500 people using the solutions daily. The company provides work process consulting, design & engineering and implementation of decision environments, data management software tools, visualisation software tools, and other applications that are fundamental to Integrated Operations environments.

Sense Intellifield, now Kongsberg Intellifield, has seen strong growth since the company was founded in June 2003, and its sales in 2006 came to approx. NOK 115 million (US$ 16.5 million). The company's 75 employees at offices in Stavanger, Kristiansand, Oslo, Trondheim, Houston and Aberdeen will continue in their roles as part of Kongsberg Maritime.
