Sensor Fusion Applications at EGU 2014
Optech, Canada, will be at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2014 from 27 April to 2 May in Vienna, Austria. Attendees with an interest in Lidar/sonar fusion or disaster response will enjoy Optech Worldwide Channel Partner manager Dario Conforti’s presentation explaining how Optech distributor Codevintec surveyed the wreck of the Costa Concordia.
By combining a motion-compensated Optech ILRIS and a Teledyne RESON SeaBat multi-beam echo sounder on a research vessel, Codevintec mapped the wreck both above and below the surface of the water in a single pass, employing specialised software to merge and visualise their data in real time and provide the final data to the crisis team within hours of their arrival. This presentation is scheduled on Monday 28 April at 13:30–13:45.
Visitors are also invited to drop by to talk with Optech staff at Booth G08, where the company will be exhibiting next to partner geo-konzept GmbH in G09 during the EGU GA 2014.
