Hydro International proudly presents the Shallow Water & Coastal Mapping Weeks, which will immerse you in experiences, tools and advances in mapping shallow water topography and coastal environments. The generation of precise seabed maps in coastal shallow water areas, the latest survey methods for shallow water zones, mapping underwater with bathymetric Lidar: these are the types of topics that will be highlighted during the theme weeks – set to be held from 26 April to 30 May.
Accurate bathymetric mapping of shallow areas is pivotal for a multitude of offshore and nearshore activities. Aerial mobile mapping using Lidar and GNSS-aided inertial navigation has revolutionized the efficiency of coastal and shallow water bathymetric surveying. Throughout the theme weeks, we will dive deeper into these developments, while also addressing the role of the various seabed mapping techniques.
The Shallow Water & Coastal Mapping Weeks, which will be supported by a themed web page, extra newsletters and an abundance of new articles, columns, Q&As, videos and other new content, will give the Hydro International community a major update on what’s going on in the hydrographic industry.
