Strategic Alliance for Deepwater Seabed Drilling

Gardline Geosciences, UK, specialists in the offshore geotechnical and geophysical market, and Canyon Offshore, USA/UK, have entered into a 3-year strategic alliance to provide seabed drilling, sampling and in-situ services to complement Gardline’s existing capability in the offshore site-investigation market.

Eric Zon, managing director of Gardline Geosciences, stated "This agreement is a perfect synergy to enable Gardline to offer full geotechnical services in the deepwater market and to add enhanced operational performance in extreme shallow water-environments." Scott Sparks, senior vice president of Canyon Offshore, commented "This strategic alliance enables both companies to enhance the services provided to the offshore geotechnical market."

This technology strengthens the capabilities of Gardline Geosciences and its sister company Asian Geos, who have an existing fleet of 7 heave-compensated drill vessels and 18 seabed CPT units.
