Transas Management Reorganisation

The Board of Directors of the Transas Group has appointedd Andrey Belentiev, long-time sales manager responsible for the Ukraine and more recently, South Europe, as Managing Director of Transas Ltd.
Based at Transas Headquarters in Cork, Ireland, Mr Belentiev will supervise the company's activities, implementing strategic management and business administration and representing the company in official quarters.
Mr Belentiev joined Transas in 1992 as Area Director for Transas Eurasia Ltd and General Director for Transas Ukraine. Between 1995 and 2003, he led several significant Transas projects, including the installation of Transas marine simulation complexes and VTS systems in Bulgaria, Georgia, Ukraine and Romania.
As of 1st February 2004, the post of Transas Marketing Director will be held by Carl-Olof Carlsson, formerly head of Transas Scandinavia AB. Mr Carlsson will be responsible for management, support and development of the sales and distribution network of the Transas Group.
He has been working with Transas since 1994. Prior to this new appointment he led the team of Transas Scandinavia as Managing Director. His professional career includes a period as Managing Director for Racal Marine Sweden and, before that, Managing Director for Furuno Sweden. In addition to his comprehensive business education, Mr Carlsson holds a Master Mariner certificate and his seagoing experience includes service as a Captain on Swedish vessels.
On assuming the responsibilities of Transas Managing Director, Mr Carlsson will be based in Gothenburg but will be spending equal amounts of time in Cork and at the Transas R&D Center in St. Petersburg.
The responsibilities of the Transas Scandinavia AB Managing Director are now delegated to Anders Rydlinger.
