Underwater Technology Seminars Focus on Shallow Water Surveys

The Teledyne Marine Acoustic Imaging Group (TMAIG), consisting of RESON, BlueView and Odom Hydrographic, has opened registration for its Underwater Technology Seminars (UTS), taking place in Hamburg, Boston and Singapore. During the classroom training and live demo workshops, participants have an up-close experience with the latest software releases of PDS2000, ProViewer, ProMapper and other industry leading software suppliers, as well as in-depth training in Teledyne Marine's range of shallow water echosounder and sonar systems.

Each event is designed around three main components: paper presentations presented by industry experts, hands-on classroom training, and live demo workshops. Also ntertainment events and hospitality arrangements are planned, providing a favorable platform to mingle with other attendees in an informal environment.

The first UTS seminar in 2014 has already taken place in Qiandao Lake, from 15 to 16 April in China with more than 115 delegates participating.

At the 3-day seminars in Hamburg and Boston the theme is: “Hydrography in Harbors and Inland Waters as well as Dredge Guidance and Construction Support”. Over the years TMAIG has developed a broad product portfolio that covers all aspects of hydrographic, dredging and construction work within harbors and shallow water inland applications. Who better to explain the benefits of the products then the actual users? Therefore a selection of the best industry speakers have been invited to tell their story and share their experiences and results with the participants at the paper sessions.

The UTS events in 2014 follow the ones held in 2013 in Shanghai, Copenhagen and Austin, where the organisers brought together nearly 300 users and decision makers worldwide from more than 45 countries. In 2014, the organisers expect to attract more than 400 attendees to the three remaining Underwater Technology Seminars in Hamburg (Germany), Boston (USA) and Singapore.
