Update of Fledermaus software

Interactive Visualization Systems (IVS) has released its latest version of the Fledermaus software suite. New features include a significantly increased rendering speed, the support of more data file formats, improved movie making capabilities and a Vessel Manager application that tracks remotely operated vehicles in real time and with simulation options.
This release provides an improvement to the Shiftscape rendering of objects in all 2D and 3D modules. On some Windows platforms users will see scenes rendering up to 20 times faster. This version also adds a new imagery architecture that allows the Image Viewer application to handle much larger file sizes with increased speed.
The Fledermaus Pro Version 6.2 has also been updated to include a new target/contact functionality to support multibeam editing and quality control operations.
The Vessel Manager with its ‘Dynamic Range Finder’ provides Real Time distance, compass bearing and elevation angle from the vessel to a point. It allows the operator to track any vessel in the 3D scene; whether it is a ship, barge, rig, or ROV. It also supplies a continuous updated profiling below the vessel and special options to track points of approach in narrow channels. The Dynamic Range Finder also functions as a Real Time Alert of the proximity of the vessel to other vessels, the nearest shore or seafloor using operator defined thresholds. The operator has full rotational control of the scene, can place several objects within that scene, and see it from multiple views.
