Veripos Upgrades Canadian DGPS Network

Veripos has upgraded its Canadian Differenctial GPS network providing Inmarsat-deliverd correction facilities with the establishment of new-generation L1/L2 dual frequency receiver hardware at reference stations in Halifax, Nova Scotia and St Johns, Newfoundland (Canada).
The new facilities ensure improved positional accuracies and performance while also extending the validity of DGPS operations during periods of heightened ionospheric activity using the proprietary Veripos MCIF (Model Compensated Iono-Free) process. The process facilitates supplementary corrections for any ionospheric effects at both local and reference station points prior to output as standard RTCM Type 1 messages and subsequent injection into an L1 GPS receiver or other processing software.
