VideoRay and SeeByte Announce Partnership

SeeByte, UK, and VideoRay, USA, have announced their decision to enter into a partnership with the aim of developing solutions to improve value to their customers. The decision follows the success of SeeByte's SeeTrack CoPilot integration with the VideoRay micro ROV which was demonstrated at VideoRay's VIPS 2011 conference last month in Florida.

The demonstration, which featured Teledyne RDI Phased-Array DVL (Doppler Velocity Log) navigation, real-time monitoring and DP (Dynamic Positioning) control, supported both companies' strategies to bring new piloting solutions to the Inspection Class ROV market.

A spectator of the demo and attendee at the event, Dave Phillips, Undersheriff of St. Louis County Minnesota, commented to be impressed by the ability to plan a survey and have the ROV follow it. He thinks this may shorten searches and increase confidence that areas have been cleared.

Having witnessed the success of the SeeTrack CoPilot and VideoRay integration, CEOs Bob Black and Scott Bentley formalised the companies' agreement to develop a partnership that will continue to address industry requirements and add value to the VideoRay product line.

Bentley, VideoRay CEO, commented that the technology will enhance the user experience. According to him, SeeByte has shown that its software complements the practical use of VideoRay's micro ROV's and he is looking forward to building upon this relationship and announcing a new offering in early 2012.

Bob Black of SeeByte said that VideoRay is the market leader for micro ROVs and SeeByte is delighted to automate the piloting of its vehicles.
