UK Hydrographic Office in Move Towards GML

The UKHO has taken the first step in adopting Geography Markup Language (GML) in hydrographic data by developing a GML schema for S57 ENC data. The schema will aid the interoperability of data produced by different vendors and facilitate the representation of S57 ENC data in GML. The initial version of the GML schema has been developed by the UKHO in association with Galdos Systems Inc. Endeavour Professional & Navigator v5.3

HAS Systems Ltd has released new versions of the Endeavour ECS product range, consisting of Endeavour Navigator and Endeavour Navigator Professional. The latter caters for the commercial sector of the market. This version includes support for AIS (Automatic Identification System) data in accordance with international standard NMEA 0183 v 3.01. Norwegian Navy Selects Triton Imaging Software to Process HUGIN 1000 Data

Triton Imaging, Inc. announced that the Royal Norwegian Navy (RNoN) has purchased its Fusion-Office software to perform post-mission processing of multi-beam and side-scan data from the HUGIN 1000 autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). Triton's software is in operation on-board the Oksoy Class mine warfare vessel, KNM Karmoy. The Karmoy is currently performing EOD missions in the Baltic Sea as part of NATO's immediate reaction force MCMFORNORTH. Fugro Survey Limited has secured an order from The Port of Felixstowe for installation and client specific development of ChartViewAIS technology. ChartViewAIS has been developed by GeoSoft Solutions, a division of Fugro Survey Limited, based in Great Yarmouth, UK.
