Positioning Contract for Veripos

Allseas, UK, has awarded Veripos (UK) a further three-year contract for continuing provision of specialist GNSS positioning services for its entire fleet of vessels headed by the world's largest pipelaying vessel, the 300m Solitaire. Other vessels concerned include companion DP pipelayers Audacia and Lorelay in addition to the DP trenching support and subsea installation vessel, Calamity Jane, the anchored pipelay barge, Tog Mor, and the ROSVs Highland Fortress, Highland Navigator and Highland Rover. Pipelay Framework Contract for Subsea 7

Subsea 7 has been awarded a 4-year single contractor framework agreement with Shell Upstream International Europe for subsea pipeline installation services across its European offshore fields and facilities. The contract has a further three one-year extension options. The contract will cover the provision of subsea pipeline installation services on a call-off basis. TSMarine Joint Venture in West Africa

Noordhoek Expands ROV Fleet

Noordhoek Offshore has ordered 2 new Sub-Atlantic Mohican ROVs and 3 new Seaeye Falcon ROVs. The decision to order new ROVs is another step within the growth strategy of Noordhoek, which already has two new vessels under construction; a DPII Saturation Diving Support Vessel for delivery Q4 2009 and a dedicated DPII ROV Survey Vessel for delivery Q1 2010.     This order continues Noordhoek´s fleet rejuvenation programme and adds 5 units to Noordhoek's ROV fleet, operating mainly in the inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) market. The Underwater Intervention Technical Program Committee is now accepting presentation abstracts for the 2013 conference programme. The main body of abstracts should be between 150 and 300 words and a photo and brief biography suitable for publication are appreciated. Deadline for abstract submission is 10 August 2012. Ferguson Modular is to invest in additional operational staff and customer support personnel while investing in new facilities at their key strategic international bases in Australia, Singapore, Norway and United Arab Emirates. A further GBP5 million has gone towards increasing their hire fleet of accommodation and workspace modules both in the UK and their operating bases around the world.
