Esri Partnering with XPRIZE Foundation to Map the Ocean

Esri and the XPRIZE Foundation are partnering in the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE. The cooperation will help accelerate innovative surveys of the ocean, 95% of which remains unexplored. Esri will donate its ArcGIS Online platform to support the USD7 million XPRIZE competition. Participating teams will compete to develop fast, autonomous deep-sea technologies that can map the seafloor at high resolutions. Competing teams will submit their maps using Esri ArcGIS Online to ensure all participants are judged from a consistent technology platform. McDonald Bradley to use ESRI Toolset to Develop New Nautical Charting System

McDonald Bradley has recently won an US$11.2 million prime contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) to develop the Nautical Charting System II – an enterprise solution for managing chart data. Danish Geodata Agency Partners with Esri to Chart the Waters of Denmark and Greenland

Solar Panels for Headquarters

ESRI recently commissioned the installation of 2,737 rooftop solar panels on three office buildings at its main campus in Redlands as part of its continuing efforts to offset energy usage. Real-time Maps Transform Forecast Data into Pictures of US River Flows

Esri has released a robust collection of web maps that display NOAA forecast streamflow data for the continental United States. The multiscale web map applications allow users to view forecast water flows in real time at high resolution.
