Australian Lidar Bathymetry Survey for Fugro

Fugro has been awarded the contract to conduct an Airborne Lidar Bathymetry (ALB) survey of the Queensland Sunshine Coast (Australia) to be conducted during October and November 2011. Fugro Awarded Offshore Survey by PEMEX

Mexico’s national oil company, PEMEX, has awarded an offshore multi-site geophysical and geotechnical survey to Fugro (Mexico), to run between September 2014 and May 2015. The company is to fulfil the large offshore multi-site high-resolution geophysical and geotechnical survey in conjunction with long-time associates, Constructora Subacuatica Diavaz. Offshore operations, laboratory testing and geoconsulting activities will support design and/or installation of platforms, pipelines, jackups and deepwater facilities. New Fugro Offshore Coastal Survey Vessel Delivered

Fugro, headquartered in The Netherlands, has taken delivery of the first of three Fugro Offshore Coastal Survey Vessels (FOCSVs) being built by Damen. The first of a new class, the Fugro Proteus is a compact survey ship capable of undertaking a wide range of survey, monitoring and inspection operations. The vessel is designed for a variety of survey and inspections duties including light geotechnical work, environmental baseline surveys, monitoring and inspection, and moon pool deployments. Fugro Strong in Geotechnical and Survey

Fugro (The Netherlands) has reported its performance for its maritime activities in survey, geotechnical and subsea in the third quarter as solid. Seabed Geosolutions continues to lag behind, although seasonal demand resulted in high vessel utilisation. Fugro Pelagos to Provide AUV Survey Requirements

Fugro Pelagos, Inc, has been selected to provide the Director, Ocean Projects Department (N9) at the US Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO), support and execute AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) survey requirements worldwide, on an as needed basis. Duration of the contract is planned for a maximum of five years. The technical requirements are based on acquisition of multibeam echosounder (MBES), sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiling data, using AUV technology. HUGIN AUV System for FUGRO Survey

UK-based FUGRO Survey has ordered a HUGIN AUV to augment its existing fleet of survey vehicles. The new HUGIN 1000 AUV has depth rating of 3,000 metres and includes lithium polymer batteries. The batteries are packaged into modules, which are stacked in the centre section of the AUV. They can be swapped between dives, which reduces the turn-around time to less than 2 hours. This latest configuration has 48 Kilowatt Hours of energy providing more than 70 hours of effective survey time with the payload sensors collecting data simultaneously. Fugro Awarded Hydrographic Survey Services in Canada

Fugro has been awarded a Supply Arrangement by the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) to provide vessel-based hydrographic survey services. Under this contract CHS will procure hydrographic surveys as needed, anywhere in Canada, to enhance its capacity for data acquisition and processing in support of its nautical charting programme. Hydrographic survey data from ports, harbours, nearshore and offshore regions will be acquired and processed using Fugro’s vessels, equipment and personnel. The resulting data will be used by CHS ultimately to update its nautical charts. Three-year Survey Contract for Fugro

Fugro has been awarded a large, three-year survey contract by Total E&P Angola, with an estimated value of USD26 million, to support its development programmes offshore Angola. The contract includes the provision of offshore positioning services and accurate navigation systems for Total E&P Angola’s drilling units, vessels and structures, together with onshore and offshore survey services. This contract is a continuation of services supplied to Total E&P Angola under a similar contract since 2008.   The contract is one of the building blocks for the continued development and further investment into Fugro’s activities in Angola.
