Noordhoek Offshore Expands

Noordhoek was founded in 1933 as a shipping company. Since the very beginning of the giant Delta project in The Netherlands in 1959 Noordhoek changed its working activities to become an underwater contractor. Offshore Wind Power Forum

The Offshore Wind Power Forum, to be held in Philadelphia during 2–3 February 2010, is the only event which will bring together all stakeholders in offshore wind to discuss and debate how these nascent projects in North America can catch up with the success of onshore wind. Global offshore wind capacity has now reached 1.5GW, with another 1.5GW under construction. In the US, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) has been receiving lease applications for offshore wind farms since June 2009. Fugro Acquires Bluestone Offshore

Fugro has reached agreement with Reef Subsea AS to acquire Bluestone Offshore Pte Ltd and its subsidiaries.   Bluestone Offshore is a specialist provider of geotechnical services in Southeast Asia and Australia and currently operates one chartered DP deepwater geotechnical vessel in the region. The staff of approximately 40 also provides laboratory and engineering services in their office in Singapore. The office will be consolidated into Fugro’s existing operations in Singapore.   Revenues for Bluestone Offshore for 2010 were in the order of USD 20 million.     (read more)

Canyon Offshore ROV Contract

Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS) has secured a contract to supply two new generation Triton XLX ROV systems and one Triton XLS ROV system to Canyon Offshore. The agreement will see PSS deliver two of the 3,000m systems this summer with the final system delivered before the end of the year.   Each TXLX system features the ICE control system (Integrated Controls Engine) and a standard suite of survey and advanced tooling interfaces. Offshore Europe 2003

The Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, Scotland, UK will provide a venue for the international offshore oil and gas industry to attend Offshore Europe 2003, from 2nd to 5th September 2003, with more than 24,500 visitors expected from 72 countries and over 1,600 exhibiting companies. The Offshore Europe 2003 show has seen a landmark change in perception and significant increases in overseas visitors. BP, Shell UK Exploration and Production and Total are among the exhibiting operators. The AECC venue last moth opened a US$ 27 million development. (read more)
