Subsea UK is hosting a breakfast briefing during OTC in Houston to demonstrate the significant value of innovative technology in improving efficiency and reducing costs in subsea operations. Offshore AIS Network Complete

Norcontrol IT has supplied Petroleos Mexicanos Exploration (PEMEX) with a large offshore AIS network. Whilst AIS is generally considered a tool for port and coastal applications, the offshore industry can benefit from the extra data it offers. The project is located in the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico and spans some 150 platforms throughout the entire area. Norcontrol IT has installed eight AIS base stations supplied by Kongsberg Seatex, a subsidiary of Kongsberg maritime. SROV at Offshore Energy

Ola Oskarsson, founder and CTO of MMT, will give a presentation on 3D visualisation of subsea structures at Offshore Energy 2015 on 14 October 2015 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. On 13 and 14 October at 10:00hrs and 13:00hrs, MMT will hold presentations on Surveyor Interceptor ROV and UXO surveys. Offshore Cote D’Ivoire Repairs

HydroDive and it’s Alliance partners have just completed repairs in 235 ft. water offshore Cote D’Ivoire, carried out with the combination of Saturation diving techniques and a ‘Phoenix’ work-class ROV supporting operations from the DP II vessel ADAMS Surveyor. Although the ADAMS Surveyor has performed on various Diving and ROV Support Projects since the Alliance’s inception early this year, this is the first project where both the Phoenix ROV and HydroDive in Saturation have been in support. MacArtney Offshore MD Appointed

Chris Howerter is very happy to be named as Lars Hansen's successor as General Manager of MacArtney Offshore, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Lars Hansen will be returning to Denmark in August. Until then, Chris Howerter will train for the position as the Deputy General Manager.   Chris Howerter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. From there, he began his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer with Oceaneering Space Systems at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. Offshore Project in Argentina

A consortium of Royal Boskalis Westminster and Allseas Group has been appointed for the construction of a gas pipeline through the Strait of Magellan in Southern Argentina. The agreement is worth approximately EUR180 million, with the share of Boskalis amounting approximately EUR90 million. The project is expected to be completed before the end of 2009.     The work consists of laying a new 24-inch undersea gas pipeline joining Cape Espiritu Santo and Cape Virgenes in waters outside the eastern mouth of the Strait of Magellan, Argentina. Deepwater Offshore Wind Turbine

The Engineering Business (EB) has celebrated the succesfull installation of the second deepwater offshore wind turbine. EB's BOWTIS - Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Turbine Installation System - was used by Talisman Energy (UK) Limited in the Moray Firth in Scotland. The REpower 5MW turbine was installed in a single lift from a floating barge, and forms the second half of the Beatrice Wind Farm Demonstrator Project.   The first REpower 5MW turbine, also installed using BOWTIS last year, was fully commissioned on 8 May.   EB began campaigning for the concept of installing offshore wind turbines in a single lift in...
