Offshore Breakfast

Subsea UK is hosting a breakfast briefing during OTC in Houston to demonstrate the significant value of innovative technology in improving efficiency and reducing costs in subsea operations. Major African Offshore Contract

Subsea 7 has been awarded its largest contract to date in Africa. The contract is a framework agreement with call-off services in support of a major development programme in offshore west Africa. Subsea 7 has signed the first call-off contract under the frame agreement with an estimated value of USD460m. The services will primarily be performed using Subsea 7's new build flexible pipelay and construction vessel, the Seven Seas.     (read more)

Offshore Project in Argentina

A consortium of Royal Boskalis Westminster and Allseas Group has been appointed for the construction of a gas pipeline through the Strait of Magellan in Southern Argentina. The agreement is worth approximately EUR180 million, with the share of Boskalis amounting approximately EUR90 million. The project is expected to be completed before the end of 2009.     The work consists of laying a new 24-inch undersea gas pipeline joining Cape Espiritu Santo and Cape Virgenes in waters outside the eastern mouth of the Strait of Magellan, Argentina. The length of the undersea pipeline and shoreline sections is approximately 38 kilometers.... (read more)

Five-year Offshore Contract

G.O.S.S. (North Sea) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of G.O.S.S. Consultants Ltd, UK, has been successful in securing a contract from Shell for the Provision of Geophysical, Geotechnical and Survey Representatives. The contract will commence on 1 February 2013 and run for five years. The agreement will involve the supply of personnel to Shell Upstream Europe business entities Shell U.K. Limited, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V, Shell E&P Ireland Limited and A/S Norske Shell.
