Indonesian Positioning Contract

Veripos, headquartered in the UK, has been awarded a further contract for supply of precision services to PT Pageo Utama of Jakarta, one of Indonesia's leading independent offshore survey organisations.   The facilities involve supply of continuous positioning services aboard two Saipem construction support vessels, the derrick lay barge, Castoro Otto, and the diving support vessel, Eclipse, engaged on key offshore projects for Carigali-Triton Operating Company in Malaysia-Thailand and Premier Oil for the Indonesian Gajah Baru gas field project. High Precision Positioning

Extension of the Condamine Port in Monaco
The port of Monaco is undergoing an extensive construction process that will help double the port's capacity and protect it from heavy eastern swells and dangerous Mediterranean storms. The new port will include two unusual pontoon-type breakwaters as well as an additional hectare of land reclaimed from the sea. OMEX Positioning Contract

Veripos has been awarded a five-year contract by Odyssey Marine Exploration (OMEX) of Tampa, USA, for supply of positioning services aboard its newly-renovated deep-ocean exploration vessel, MV Dorado Discovery. The 98m-long vessel, which is among the world's most advanced of its type, is due to begin an extensive series of mineral exploration and recovery surveys in the South Pacific, working offshore Papua New Guinea and Tonga. Trident Offshore Positioning Contract

Trident Offshore have commissioned Veripos to provide a full range of precision GNSS positioning services and associated support under an exclusive five-year global contract. The agreement calls for Veripos to provide its complete range of proprietary satellite positioning services extending from its Standard GNSS augmentation service to its Ultra decimetre-accuracy Precise Point Positioning (PPP) capability.   Additionally, Veripos will also provide its range of LD2 and LD3 integrated GNSS receiver and demodulator mobile units together with user-configurable Verify-QC software packages for real-time assessment and post-processing of data as well as support of both single and multi-reference station calculations.     (read more)

Ground-based Regional GNSS Augmentation
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) like GPS, GLONASS and, soon, Galileo are used for many positioning and navigation applications. But existing GNSS accuracy and reliability do not satisfy all clients. Ground-based augmentation systems provide GNSS observation data and real-time corrections for high-precision positioning and navigation. LBL Underwater Positioning

Long baseline (LBL) positioning has many applications both commercially and in research, from surveying a ship hull to positioning offshore platforms in deeper waters. The technique consistently provides accuracies in the order of decimetres over large areas, independent of depth. Recent advances include the integration with other acoustic techniques or with inertial navigation systems for greater levels of accuracy. Since navigation by GPS isbased on electromagnetic signals that cannot penetrate water, subsea positioning requires a different approach. Geolab Extends Positioning Contract

Veripos has been awarded a further two-year general services contract by Naples-based GeoLab Srl, a turnkey offshore survey and construction support organisation. The contract extends the relationship between the two companies following an earlier three-year agreement. Under the new agreement Veripos will continue to supply its full range of GNSS positioning solutions in support of GeoLab's fleet of dedicated multi-role survey vessels. Malaysian Positioning Contract

Veripos has been awarded a new three-year contract by Kuala Lumpur-based Orogenic Geoexpro for continued provision of GNSS positioning services to the Malaysian company‚Äôs fleet of vessels engaged on geophysical surveys, rig moves and major construction support projects throughout Southeast Asia. Deepwater Positioning Buoys Shipment

Falmouth Scientific has shipped 30 deepwater positioning buoys worth almost half-a-million US dollars to the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP). These beacons will be employed by IODP's drilling vessel for deepwater (6000-meter) positioning. FSI's instruments will be used to accurately position IODP's drilling ships in order to extract cores of the Earth's crust at the bottom of the ocean.   The mission of the IODP is to explore Earth's history and structure recorded in seafloor sediments and rocks, and to monitor sub-seafloor environments. NPCC DGPS Positioning Contract

The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) of Abu Dhabi, UAE has awarded C&C Technologies (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, a long-term contract for their C-Nav Globally Corrected GPS (GcGPS) positioning services.
