Veripos Extends GNSS Positioning Networks

Veripos has extended the Baltic sector of its European multi-source Differential GPS service network with the establishment of new reference station facilities in Stockholm. Meanwhile, a new station has also been added to the Americas regional network serving offshore users in North, South and Central America as well as the Caribbean with installation of similar facilities in San Diego for enhanced coverage of eastern sectors of the Pacific. Polarcus Positioning Contract For Veripos

Veripos has been awarded a master services contract by Polarcus, a Dubai-based 3D seismic survey company, for supply of high-precision positioning services and equipment in support of a new advanced fleet of Ulstein-designed vessels. Bergen Oilfield Extends Positioning Contract

Veripos has been awarded an extension to its existing master services contract with Bergen Oilfield Services (BOS), one of Norway's principal seismic survey contractors operating worldwide. The extended contract covers continuing supply of a complete range of positioning services and equipment for BOS's three specialist seismic exploration vessels, BOS Angler, BOS Arctic and BOS Atlantic. Australia Tests Improved National Positioning

According to Geoscience Australia, technology companies GMV, Inmarsat and Lockheed Martin have joined Australia's two-year national positioning project. The project is trialling a Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) to improve the accuracy of Australia's positioning. The testing of SBAS technology in Australia offers a number of potential safety, productivity, efficiency and environmental benefits to many local industries, including transport, agriculture, construction and resources. Aberdeen-based Veripos has secured an extension to its contract with Gardline Geosurvey, UK, for the provision of precise satellite positioning services.
