Dolphin Acquires Seismic Processing Software Company

Dolphin Group’s subsidiary Dolphin Geophysical Inc. (US) has purchased the entire stock of Open Geophysical Inc. (OGI). OGI develops and sells seismic processing software and has an existing client base including both major oil companies and seismic contractors. It provides users with an efficient, cost-effective and easy-to-use seismic processing platform. The newly developed software is already being used on the Polar Duchess for real-time quality control of acquired data with impressive performance and in Dolphin's new processing centre established in London, UK. 3D Onboard Processing Project Completed

  Wavefield and its partner Geotrace have just completed one of the largest 3D onboard processing projects for Marathon in the Makassar Straits, Offshore Indonesia.

The 3,000sqkm project was processed entirely on the vessel using a large compute facility, and delivered to the client 10 days after the final shotpoint. The processing sequence included state of the art processing techniques such as sophisticated noise attenuation techniques, surface related multiple attenuation and radon demultiple.   The rapid delivery of a high quality 3D migrated volume will allow Marathon to make a timely start on their interpretation effort.     (read more)

Fugro Awarded Processing Facility AUV Survey

Fugro Survey Pty Ltd (Australia) is shortly due to commence a deepwater AUV survey as part of the Woodside-operated Browse LNG Development. MS 1000 Version 5.0 marks a major change in direction for this software. It enables no-charge software updates for all users and more specialised and productive software tools for specific user groups.
