Trimble VRS Now Service to Be Launched in Germany

Trimble will launch its Trimble VRS Now service for Germany in December. The commercial subscription service will provide surveyors, civil engineers and geospatial professionals with instant access to Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) corrections without the need for a base station. Using GNSS reference station data from SAPOS, the SAtellite POSitioning Service of the German State Survey, the Trimble service will deliver centimeter-level RTK positioning customised for each GNSS receiver's exact location anywhere in the network. C-Nav for Osiris Projects Vessel

C-Nav is to provide the GNSS positioning system for Osiris Projects' latest new-build survey vessel, the SV Bibby Tethra. C-Nav has been chosen to provide the vessel's primary GNSS positioning system and to integrate it with a survey and navigation suite. Currently, there are four global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) available: GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo. These satellites can be used directly, but accuracy is greatly improved when using orbit, clock and UPD correction signals. Fugro Satellite Positioning operates a worldwide network of more than 100 GNSS reference stations capable of tracking the GNSS.
