Naval Navigation Training

Naval Reserve Officer Training Candidate (NROTC) students at college campuses in San Diego (CA, USA) have become the first to use a navigation training package supplied by Northrop Grumman Corporation's Sperry Marine business unit.     The computerised learning DVDs contain 16 interactive courseware (ICW) training lessons on the use and operation of Sperry Marine's Voyage Management System (VMS) ship navigation software. NOAA’s ENC Training Programme

The key objective of NOAA’s ENC Training Programme is to educate Hydrographic Offices (HOs) on ENC workflow in the Office of Coast Survey’s Marine Chart Division (MCD). The workflow includes: acceptance of new sources, data compilation, validation and quality control, distribution and contracting.
