Partnership for EIVA Training

The international recruitment company Atlas Services Group, The Netherlands, and EIVA, Denmark, have joined forces by entering into a collaboration agreement that will include training courses on the EIVA software suite in Atlas Services Group’s training curriculum offered globally. NOAA’s ENC Training Programme

The key objective of NOAA’s ENC Training Programme is to educate Hydrographic Offices (HOs) on ENC workflow in the Office of Coast Survey’s Marine Chart Division (MCD). The workflow includes: acceptance of new sources, data compilation, validation and quality control, distribution and contracting. Naval Navigation Training

Naval Reserve Officer Training Candidate (NROTC) students at college campuses in San Diego (CA, USA) have become the first to use a navigation training package supplied by Northrop Grumman Corporation's Sperry Marine business unit.     The computerised learning DVDs contain 16 interactive courseware (ICW) training lessons on the use and operation of Sperry Marine's Voyage Management System (VMS) ship navigation software. Brazilian Navy Training Vessel

Transas has installed the Navi-Sailor 3000 ECS onboard the Brazilian Navy’s 3,168 ton training vessel U-27 BRASIL. The Navi-Sailor 3000 ECS, a Transas Marine electronic chart navigational system, will be used to support navigational activities and also comprises World Folio ZR00, worldwide chart coverage, providing the vessel with access to more than 10,000 vector charts with ports indicated worldwide. Another solution installed is Navtex Manager, which is capable of automatically reading and processing Navtex messages, extracting co-ordinates, areas, transmitting station and other parameters, saving messages onto the hard disk and displaying the message mark on the electronic chart. Echoview Training in Europe

Dr Toby Jarvis from the Echoview team will be running a three-day Echoview training course in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic from 3 to 5 September 2014. Registration of interest can be submitted online by Wednesday 6 August. Alternatively, from 8 to 11 September 2014, Toby will be available in that location there to discuss all things acoustic and Echoview which is based in Australia. Data Management Training Courses

OceanWise, UK, has entered into a collaboration with The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST, UK) to develop and deliver Marine Data Awareness Training Courses in London and overseas. This collaboration combines OceanWise’s expertise as a provider of technical and management training to the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) through its capacity-building programme with IMarEST.
