SurvTech Selects NEXUS 800 for Aerial Mapping

A NEXUS 800 UAS powered by HYPACK has been provided to the US southeastern geospatial solutions company SurvTech. The company will use the device to acquire upland data simultaneous with subaqueous data and make a seamless point cloud of upland and submerged data. The integration with the company’s heading RTK GPS, IMU, sonar and HYPACK was experienced as straightforward. NOAA Awards Photo Science Five-Year Shoreline Mapping Contract

Photo Science was awarded a five-year IDC contract by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide aerial photography and photogrammetric mapping services to support of the nationwide Shoreline Mapping Program. Photo Science will assist NOAA in delineating approximately 95,000 miles of shoreline and provide an official and accurate delineation of the National Shoreline. This will be accomplished via stereo photogrammetry using tide-coordinated aerial photography controlled by kinematic GPS techniques. Lantmäteriet Purchases UltraCam Eagle

Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority, has invested in an UltraCam Eagle 'ultra-large' format digital aerial camera system. It will be used to support Lantmäteriet’s national aerial photography programme. Lantmäteriet will also collect imagery of much of Sweden's coastline during 2012 to use in a review of Sweden's maritime borders. The programme collects approximately 33% of Sweden, 150,000 km2, each year at 0.5 metre GSD, and some localities and regions at 0.25 metre GSD. Yellowstone River Channel and Floodplain Project for Merrick & Company

Merrick & Company has been awarded the Precision Topographic and Bathymetric Mapping project for the Yellowstone River Conservation District Council. Merrick will provide GPS and bathymetric surveys, LIDAR data acquisition, one-meter contours, half-meter bathymetric contours, planimetric feature and breakline mapping, color aerial photography, and color digital orthophotography with a 30-centimeter pixel resolution.
