Teledyne RESON Acquires Business From ATLAS HYDROGRAPHIC

Teledyne RESON A/S from Denmark has announced that its German subsidiary, Teledyne RESON GmbH, has acquired assets of ATLAS HYDROGRAPHIC, Germany, and that the business, product lines and a number of employees from ATLAS HYDROGRAPHIC GmbH are now part of the Teledyne Marine Acoustics Imaging group. International Coastal Atlas Network (ICAN) Report Published

The final report of the ICAN 5 Workshop, held in Ostend, Belgium, in September 2011 is now available for download. ICAN is a network of more than 40 organisations from around the globe at local, regional, national or trans-national level (Africa and Caribbean) who have developed coastal and marine atlases which are used in a variety of ways. ICAN is always looking for new members and is open for inquiries from any organisations interested in either developing a coastal atlas for their region or sharing an atlas that they have already created. The State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine has issued an Oceanographic Atlas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, aimed at improving informational support for marine economic activities and scientific research in this region. Atlas to Open Office in Lowestoft

In May 2015 UKPS Offshore, focusing on high-quality ROV personnel, decided to close its doors for good. The remaining contractors were left to look for alternative agencies and the staff had to find new jobs. GMGS Buys Atlas Parasound Sub-bottom Profiler

Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey (GMGS) in China has awarded Atlas Hydrographic a contract to supply an Atlas Parasound hull-mounted sub-bottom profiler with full ocean depth range capability for its vessel Fen Dou 5. Delivery of the system is scheduled for February 2014. The system configuration consists of Atlas Parasound electronics, a pair of small-sized transducers, a transducer casing, Atlas Hydromap Control software for sensor steering and control, and Atlas Parastore software for data acquisition, storage and visualisation.
