86 ADCPs for Ocean Observatory Initiative

Teledyne RD Instruments (TRDI) has been awarded a contract from the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, with funding from the National Science Foundation, to provide up to 86 Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) Instruments as a component of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI). The OOI, a project funded by the NSF, is planned as a networked infrastructure of science-driven sensor systems to measure the physical, chemical, geological and biological variables in the ocean and seafloor. 2D Infill Seismic Survey for Geoscience Australia

The Duke, owned and operated by Gardline CGG Pte Ltd, Australia, has been selected by Geoscience Australia to acquire the Gippsland 2D Infill marine seismic survey offshore Victoria (Australia). Preparation for the project is underway and the expected start date is 6 April 2015. The Gippsland 2D Infill survey is part of the National CO2 Infrastructure Plan to aid in the identification of potential sites suitable for the long term storage of CO2 in Australia. Caris Conference Attracts Record Numbers

Caris hosted its 13th International User Group Conference, CARIS 2010, at the Four Seasons hotel in Miami, Florida, USA on 22nd to 26th March 2010. Radio Network Contract

Thrane & Thrane has been awarded a DKK20 million (US$3.6 million) contract by Inmarsat to supply and install two Radio Network Controller stations in Hawaii (USA). This is one of the first contracts awarded to start implementing the necessary BGAN infrastructure to support the third Inmarsat-4 satellite.   The contract delivery is planned to take place over the next two fiscal years. Geo-Seas is an EU FP7 project, implementing an e-infrastructure of 26 marine geological and geophysical data centres, located in seventeen European maritime countries.
