Malaysian Positioning Contract

Veripos has been awarded a new three-year contract by Kuala Lumpur-based Orogenic Geoexpro for continued provision of GNSS positioning services to the Malaysian company’s fleet of vessels engaged on geophysical surveys, rig moves and major construction support projects throughout Southeast Asia. Services provided by Veripos under the contract include a combination of its dual-beam standard and ultra Precise Point Positioning (PPP) facilities supported by shipborne hardware comprising 30 LD3SG1 and 10 LD3G2 integrated mobile receivers. Also available is a series of proprietary software modules for real-time monitoring, control and QC operations. Deepwater Positioning Buoys Shipment

Falmouth Scientific has shipped 30 deepwater positioning buoys worth almost half-a-million US dollars to the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP). These beacons will be employed by IODP's drilling vessel for deepwater (6000-meter) positioning. FSI's instruments will be used to accurately position IODP's drilling ships in order to extract cores of the Earth's crust at the bottom of the ocean.   The mission of the IODP is to explore Earth's history and structure recorded in seafloor sediments and rocks, and to monitor sub-seafloor environments. NPCC DGPS Positioning Contract

The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) of Abu Dhabi, UAE has awarded C&C Technologies (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, a long-term contract for their C-Nav Globally Corrected GPS (GcGPS) positioning services. Apex GNSS Positioning Service

Veripos has extended its range of services with the introduction of Apex, a new high-accuracy positioning solution. Complementing the company's existing Ultra service, Apex similarly uses precise point positioning (PPP) methods for correction and/or modelling of GNSS error sources. Each service operates independently, providing continuous decimetre-level accuracies. For delivery of the Apex service Veripos operates its own orbit and clock determination system (OCDS) which derives real-time corrections for all GPS constellation satellites using proprietary algorithms. Underwater Positioning Systems and Transponders

Kongsberg Maritime has launched during OTC a new range of acoustic underwater positioning systems and transponders, designed to harness the power of 'Cymbal' signal processing protocol whilst also being backwards compatible with the HPR 400 protocol and analog transponders. Veripos Extends GNSS Positioning Networks

Veripos has extended the Baltic sector of its European multi-source Differential GPS service network with the establishment of new reference station facilities in Stockholm. Positioning First West African TLP

Fugro Survey BV is to undertake the crucial positioning work to install West Africa’s first Tension Leg Platform (TLP) on the Kizomba-A oilfield off Angola. The platform has to be positioned with an accuracy of less than a metre in water depths of 1180m. The contract was awarded to Fugro by Heerema Marine Contractors, which will install the TLP for the field operators. Petrobras Positioning Contract for Veripos

Veripos has been awarded a three-year contract by the Survey Department of Petroléo Brasileiro S/A (Petrobras) for provision of high-accuracy GNSS positioning services in support of rig moves as well as operation aboard sixteen specialist support vessels engaged in pipelay, anchor-handling and flowline installation operations. Under the contract, Veripos will provide its high-precision Standard GPS augmentation service with a typical correction update rate of 15 seconds.
