Biography

Dr McFarlane is Professor of Biology and Environmental Science at the Claremont Colleges in Southern California, USA. He received his BSc from the University of Liverpool, his MSc from Queen’s University of Belfast and his PhD from the University of Southern California. He has a long standing interest in the interactions of biology and earth system processes, especially caves.
