20th Birthday for Coastline Surveys

Coastline Surveys, UK, has enjoyed an extremely successful exhibition at Ocean Business which was held from 5th to 7th April 2011. During this exhibition, held in Southampton University’s National Oceanographic Centre, Coastline was showcasing their expanding capabilities and celebrating their 20th year of trading.

On display was a selection of survey and geotechnical equipment. This included GeoAcoustics GeoSWATH PLUS interferometric bathymetry system offering simultaneous swath bathymetry and side scan seabed mapping with accuracies exceeding the IHO Standards for Hydrographic Surveys. This was complimented by the attendance of our 24m Survey Vessel MV FlatHolm where a sample of geotechnical equipment was displayed including our mini CPT C-Pen20 and one of our 5m high powered vibrocorers, C-Core HP.

The Coastline Team were delighted by the overwhelming levels of interest and support received from visitors to the stand and those who boarded MV FlatHolm for celebratory refreshments. Friends and associates came together in the sunshine to celebrate and help Coastline reflect on the past 20 years whilst relationships were forged for future, many with an international flavour.

Significant Company growth since 2009, including the development of the geotechnical department based in Lowestoft with in-house soils laboratory, has enabled Coastline to provide a comprehensive, fully in-house, marine survey service that includes geophysical, geotechnical, hydrographic and environmental capabilities.

This bespoke operation has evolved from twenty years experience that Coastline has gained, predominantly in bathymetric and geophysical surveying, providing the bedrock and understanding of the importance of accurate data acquisition and quality report writing. Coastline has in place a solid foundation built by listening to Clients wishes, advising best practice and providing a safe working environment with full accountability and relationship building encouraged throughout.

Finally our congratulations go to Hervé Bizien from Invivo Fr, who won the Bottle of Single Malt Whisky from the business card draw.
