250th Contract

NCS Survey's 250th project is for Survey Support on an offshore Oil & Gas project on the Ivory Coast. The contract is expected to run for 60 days and will involve a team of surveyors, survey engineers and data processors working with the engineering and ROV teams of the intervention contractor to complete the infield support and pipeline inspection program.

In just over three years since the company was formed we have succeeded in winning 250 contracts to date. Projects have been carried out in 24 countries ranging from Russia to Brazil and from Trinidad to New Zealand. With partner companies in Norway and USA the company has achieved its early target of being recognised as a Global Survey Contractor.

Andy Gray, NCS Survey Managing Director, stated that a key has been NCS' investment in recruitment and training. "While many companies talk about the shortage of skilled personnel in the Offshore Industry we have done something positive about it. We have augmented our experienced team by recruiting over 20 new entrants to the survey industry. This was achieved by attracting graduate surveyors and engineers as well as ex RAF and Navy personnel to the company through our commitment to training and career development. These people are the future of the company and the industry."

The continuing rapid rate of expansion means NCS Survey have already outgrown their Britannia House facility so a nove later this year to a brand new facility at Abercrombie Court  in "Surf City" (Westhill) with more than double the current office and workshop space is planned.
