ALISTAR Unveiled

ECA has unveiled its 3,000 metres-depth-rated inspection vehicle ALISTAR. Video, sonar and hovering capacities, already developed for the demonstrator Alistar 300, have been integrated to give the vehicle deep inspection capabilities. The spread of ALISTAR 3000 does not need an umbilical and its winch.
Applications such as pipeline inspection, riser/mooring lines and touchdown monitoring are targeted. The vehicle is able to record video and sonar data while tracking the equipment to be inspected and at the same time recording this information for post-processing data analysis.
