Alliance Between Romor and Instrument Concepts

Romor announces a strategic alliance with Instrument Concepts Inc, a designer of marine sensors and marine instrumentation products. The companies will officially launch their venture at Oceans 2006, 18-21 September, Boston (MA, USA). As a sponsor of the Canadian Pavilion for Oceans 2006, this prestigious event offers the perfect opportunity to formally launch the new joint venture to the global oceanographic community. Romor has 23 years of experience in the oceanographic, offshore oil & gas, geophysical and defense instrumentation and supply industry. The company can fulfill equipment requirements, provide field service, training, systems integration, and new product development while keeping up-to-date with emerging technology.

Instrument Concepts
has offices in Houston (TX, USA), and Nova Scotia (Canada). The company was founded in 1998 to develop an innovative, flexible and personal approach to solving sensing needs. Services cover the full scope of today's sensor-based measurement environment, integrating different technologies, to create solutions that respond to clients' measurement challenges. The most infamous was the deployment of their invention 'Big Ears', a sub-sea listening device. Big Ears was the only instrument able to identify a water leak on one of the world’s largest oil rigs.
