Applanix Sets POS MV Upgrade Record

Applanix Corporation announces that solution upgrade revenues from the company’s Position and Orientation Systems (POS) for Marine Vessels (MV) division increased a dramatic 61 percent over the previous year, setting a new company record. Applanix’ POS MV and POS MV WaveMaster marine solutions are designed for use with multi-beam sonar systems, enabling adherence to IHO (International Hydrographic Survey) standards on sonar swath widths of greater than ± 75 degrees under all dynamic conditions.
Current users include marine contractors and navies, which rely on POS MV's accuracy and robustness for their precise marine survey requirements.
Applanix' POS technology was originally developed and rigorously tested as part of an extensive development project. This technology was enhanced, customised, and packaged to yield an off-the-shelf commercial product that is uniquely suited to the requirements of precision marine motion sensing, hydrographic surveying, and charting.
