Atlas Professionals Opens Romanian Office

On 20 July 2015, Atlas Professionals opened its doors in Constanta, Romania. The office will focus on the offshore marine sectors for local content. As the largest source for officers in the European Union, Romania is the ideal location for Atlas to open their office. With Atlas’ Offshore Marine offices based in, among others, the Netherlands, Latvia and Singapore, the Constanta office will be working in close collaboration with these branches to ensure that highly-skilled seafarers are provided to our global projects.

For several years the team in Constanta has worked as a crewing office, dealing with the provision of offshore marine personnel from Southeastern Europe. However, after several years of their continued efforts their branch has been made into an official Atlas office.

Mihail Codrut Roizen, Andreea Ionescu and Livia Lonela Cotaru will be heading up the office in Constanta. With his previous experience in the marine industry, Mihail Codrut will be assuming the role of director of Atlas’ Romania office; through the collaboration of Mihail’s own crewing agency, Atlas Professionals has been able to establish its presence in Southeastern Europe. Mihail and Livia recently visited the Dutch office for induction training working with the HRM system. In the upcoming months Constanta will be fully integrated into Atlas’ systems and operations.

Gas Reservoirs

With the recent discovery of large gas reservoirs in the Black Sea, the opening of the new office in Constanta will be beneficial for marine personnel who wish to gain new opportunities in the region. The discovery will make Romania one of the largest gas exporters in Europe.
