AXYS Wave and Current Buoy Monitors Oil Facility in Persian Gulf

AXYS Technologies Inc. has won a contract from a major oil & gas company for the supply of a TRIAXYS directional wave monitoring buoy with an integrated Nortek Aquadopp Acoustic Doppler Profiler (ADP). The TRIAXYS with Currents buoy will enhance the safety of the oil company's employees and the local marine environment in the Persian Gulf. TRIAXYS with Currents is a rugged, lightweight data collection buoy. The 0.9m diameter solar-powered instrument collects, processes, stores and transmits wave and current information to a shore base station in almost real time. Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) operators, ship masters and pilots will be able access buoy data via AXYS' proprietary WaveView software. The buoy is operational from mid September 2006.

Axys Technologies is represented at Oceans America 2006 at booth number 552.
