Barwil and Denholm form strategic partnership

Barwil has acquired a 40% stake in Denholm Shipping Services Ltd. (DSS), owned by the UK-based Denholm Group. The company will be rebranded as Denholm Barwil Limited and managed by the existing DSS management team led by Niall Denholm as Managing Director.
The acquisition provides Barwil with a proven agency network incorporating 120 staff and offices at 20 key sites in the UK, and provides DSS with access into the global market for Agency appointments.
DSS will get access to and become an integral part of Barwil's growing network of 230+ offices in 60 countries. The combined Barwil and Denholm operations will handle in excess of 40,000 port calls per annum.
Barwil and DSS have been working closely on a number of projects and it became clear at an early stage that both companies have similar ambitions and objectives and an investment in DSS by Barwil became the logical conclusion.
Denholm Barwil will retain it’s independence but will align the operations with Barwil’ s global standards and have access to the Barwil web-based VOSS operating system allowing customers to have real time access to ships progress and disbursement accounts.
