China Classification Awards for McMurdo S4 RESCUE

McMurdo’s S4 RESCUE Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) has been awarded Chinese Type Approval by the China Classification Society (CCS).
The S4 RESCUE is a 9 GHz X-band RADAR transponder that offers maximum reliability in a compact design. The S4 RESCUE is ideal for installation into liferafts. The S4 RESCUE SART is buoyant, waterproof to 10m and maintenance free. It has a replaceable, 5 year battery pack.
The S4 RESCUE’s lightweight and compact appearance disguises its tough and rugged design and construction. When operating, there is both an audible and visual indicator to reassure users that the SART is working. There is also a built-in self test facility. The S4 RESCUE comes complete with an integral lanyard, plus bulkhead mounting bracket that can be removed for use in survival craft applications. It also has a mounting pole for increasing visibility in survival craft applications.
