Deep-sea Submarine

Visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show can explore the C-Explorer deep-sea submarine from 22nd to 25th September 2010. The submersible was designed for a maximum depth of 1,000 metres and comes equipped with modern lithium-ion batteries which allow it to remain submerged for up to twelve hours at a time. The submersibles are not only used for private purposes, but are also suited for oceanographic research and underwater photography. The design makes it simple to fit a wide range of research equipment, such as a sonars or manipulator arms.

This C-Explorer 2 can accommodate a trained pilot and one passenger. The deep-sea submersible is part of the C-Explorer line announced in April 2010. This product line was designed to supplement the existing C-Quester submersibles with models that can transport up to 5 passengers to depths of between 100 and 1,000 metres. All C-Explorers are equipped with a fully transparent pressure hull to guarantee optimal visibility.

All U-Boat Worx submersibles are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the safety guidelines of internationally recognised certification authorities.
