Delivery Indonesian Fishing Simulators Completed
Transas distributor PT Multi Integrahas completed the supply of Transas Navi-Trainer Professional (NTPro) 4000 simulator with fishing functionality for Ambon Fishing School, and a Transas GMDSS Simulator and Radar/ARPA Simulator for Dumai Fishing School, Indonesia. Both simulator systems were installed at the end of 2006.
Transas NTPro 4000 became the fifth Transas simulator in Ambon and the first Transas Fishing & Navigational simulator in the eastern part of Indonesia. Using these progressive training systems, Ambon Fishing School can now implement their training and education in full compliance with the requirements of Indonesia’s Marine Affairs and Fisheries department.
The system comprises Fishing Module, Radar/ARPA & ECDIS, Conning Display and 5 channels of visualization for the main bridge, and 1 channel for the second bridge. The second educational institution to boast the recent installation of a Transas simulator is the Dumai Fishing School located in Riau Province, Sumatra, western Indonesia. The Dumai Fishing School purchased the GMDSS TGS 4000 V.5.1 simulator, with a configuration including 1 instructor’s and 15 trainees’ workplaces. Transas Radio Communication simulators based on PCs, software and hardware facilities have been developed for training and examining ship specialists who receive a General Operator Certificate (GOC) or Restricted Operator Certificate (ROC). The Dumai GMDSS simulator is integrated with the existing Full Mission Fishing & Navigation Bridge Simulator installed in 2005.
