DOF Subsea in Subsea Expo Conference
DOF Subsea is joining a host of leading companies in sharing their knowledge and expertise during the Subsea Expo 2015 conference programme this week. Support and development surveyor Richard Lear is to give a presentation entitled: 'Channel Challenges' as part of the ROV & Inspection session which is taking place on Thursday afternoon (12 February).
During his presentation, Richard will look at the use of multibeam echosounders and sub-bottom profilers from surface vessel and ROV during a survey project in 2013.
Following eight years in the RAF, Richard moved into the offshore industry as a freelance ROV pilot technician and subsequently spent 20 years working for a major multibeam manufacturer. Now based in Bergen, Norway he joined DOF Subsea in 2012 and is responsible for support and development focusing on procedures, processes and equipment. Working with DOF Subsea-owned and operated multibeam and acoustic equipment, Richard co-ordinates training, equipment assessment and procedure development for DOF Subsea’s survey group.
