DroneQ Robotics awarded autonomous port inspection tender by Groningen Seaports
DroneQ Robotics has been awarded the Autonomous Port Inspection tender by Groningen Seaports. The Dutch company will join forces with international partners Maritime Robotics, OWIC, Marine Technical Limits, Spectro AG and Researchable in the Startup in Residence programme to develop a sustainable, efficient and integrated inspection and survey solution for ports in collaboration with Groningen Seaports and the Dutch provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe.
The project entails the efficient use of technology, survey and inspection processes, and links with the systems of Groningen Seaports and integration with manned shipping traffic and other port activities. Improving safety, digitization, sustainability and contributing to a green, clean and efficient port are important core values for Groningen Seaports and DroneQ Robotics.
Autonomous marine asset integrity management solution
DroneQ Robotics has developed an Autonomous Marine Asset Integrity Management System for ports, industry and offshore. This is a multi-technology approach involving advanced autonomous vessels (ASVs) and underwater robots (ROVs) for underwater inspections and water depth soundings and drones for surface water inspections. AI, object recognition, data science and other processes and procedures are important tools that will be further developed in collaboration with Groningen Seaports.
The Autonomous Marine Asset Integrity Management System has been developed for port infrastructure objects such as quays, sheet piling, jetties and piles. Inspections of dikes, locks, bridges, canals and rivers are also part of the proposition. Offshore objects include wind turbines, substations and production platforms, FPSOs and SBMs, pipelines and cables, ecological research and other marine objects.
