ECDIS Training Expands into Asia
The Transas Global ECDIS Training Network GET-Net has been expanded in Asia with an agreement signed with EPSILON Hellas and its Epsilon Maritime Services based in Manila, Philippines.These two entities will receive the status of Transas Approved Training Center, and provide Transas ECDIS Equipment Specific Training and certification.
The entire investment is funded by EPSILON Hellas and the new and upgraded training facility shall be up and running by the end of April 2011.
The shipping industry is facing a challenging environment and it requires well qualified seafarers capable of handling the wide range of tasks now required of them. The ECDIS training programme provided via Transas Global ECDIS Training Network will ensure the crews are trained to the highest standards available in the market.
